Janis Lee Thereault is the author of The Way You Love Me, a 100,000 word romantic suspense novel which combines her medical background and her love of travel. The manuscript placed in the 2011 OCC Orange Rose contest and the 2011 Virginia Romance Writers Fools for Love contest. It will be available in July, 2013 through the publisher Crimson Romance.

She also contributed the short story "A Helping Hand" to the 2012 OCC/​RWA short story anthology Romancing the Pages.

As a physician, she has published case reports and articles in prominent medical journals and currently practices at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System as an anesthesiologist. She is a longstanding member of RWA and OCC and attends a weekly critique group.

She and her husband have one son and live in southern California with their golden retriever Maggie Mae and a contrary cat.
